Provides 100% of the female visceral organs, the complete female reproductive system (uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, cervix, vagina), mammary glands / solid breast structures, and pregnancy reference (placenta and umbilical cord).

- Dataset: https://dbarchive.biosciencedbc.jp/en/bodyparts3d/lic.html

Provides the full skeletal framework (cranium, ribs, clavicles, arms, hands, pelvis, legs, feet), full musculature (all 416 muscle parts), and peripheral vasculature.

### 3. Anatomical Integration & Adaptations
Adaptations by Mahendra Beniwal:
- Coincident vertices welded and surface normals averaged.
- Geometry simplified with a 0.2% per-structure relative error bound using meshoptimizer and normals quantized to signed 16-bit for compact GPU delivery.
- Authentic female morphological proportions applied across all layers: slender shoulders, delicate conical rib cage, hourglass waist indentation, flared female pelvic hips and glutes, and full natural female breast contours.
- All 3,004 individual meshes and 2,557 named concepts curated and indexed for real-time 3D exploration.

Site correction: excluded BP3D_FJ2810 (male skin envelope), BP3D_FJ3148 (unverified adapted urethra) and BP3D_FJ3532/FJ3533/FJ3617/FJ3618 (testicular vessels) from the female catalog and renderer. 2,998 selectable parts remain. No replacement female skin has been fabricated.

Correction update: Skin BP3D_FJ2810 restored with a local neutral flattening of the perineal surface in the renderer. This is a schematic surface, not a detailed female genital mesh. No genital organs were fabricated. 2,999 selectable parts.

Original site-authored schematic external genital anatomy added separately as SCHEMA_* parts in female-22.bin.gz. Not derived from the referenced datasets and not MRI geometry; supplied under CC BY 4.0. Every schematic part is identified in its study description.

Registration correction: left and right HRA quadriceps femoris tendons translated laterally and in depth to align with the corresponding BodyParts3D patella. Shape and superior/inferior coordinates retained; assembled registration is an educational approximation.

Knee correction extended to the HRA menisci and anterolateral knee ligaments. Both pairs translated to the corresponding tibial plateau/patella frame and classified as articular instead of skeletal. Approximate educational registration; original geometry retained.

The same registration/classification fix also applies to all four anterior/posterior cruciate knee ligaments. Audit includes all ten HRA knee parts (two tendons, two menisci and six ligaments).

Surface cleanup (2026-10-20): 411 numerically negligible-area triangles removed (cross-product magnitude below 1e-14 square metres in the stored coordinate system). Twenty-four used vertex normals repaired from adjacent faces; existing valid normals retained. No vertex positions, anatomical labels, part identifiers or registration transforms changed. Twelve zero/weak normals belong only to unused vertices. The binary layout is preserved; indexCount metadata updated. This is technical mesh cleanup, not additional anatomical resolution.

## Primary-source restoration (2026-10-21)

Fifty-four reproductive and mammary structures were restored from the original HRA united-female v1.5 GLB, authored by Kristen Browne and Heidi Schlehlein, DOI 10.48539/HBM352.BTSQ.586, CC BY 4.0. The source vertex positions and relative order of nondegenerate triangles are retained, with a uniform translation of +0.794760939 m in Y to the existing viewer coordinate system. Source normals are normalized and packed to signed 16-bit. Source material base colors are used as instructional colors, not measured tissue appearance. There is no decimation, subdivision, shape deformation or invented surface detail. These structures are stored in female-23.bin.gz. The old simplified geometry remains in earlier source chunks for reproducibility but is no longer selected by the live catalog.

The nine SCHEMA_* external structures and the adapted BP3D_FJ2810 skin envelope are hidden by default. They remain accessible as explicitly marked approximations in settings or by direct selection. A high-fidelity validated replacement for the external vulva is still absent. Node/ontology identity checks and source restoration are not expert anatomical validation.

Source numerical cleanup: 12 source triangles with numerically negligible area were removed. No source normals on the remaining used vertices required repair. No positions were edited. See the restoration and numerical-cleanup reports; this does not add anatomical detail or change shape.
